RACE DAY DETAILS

Experience one of the most scenic and traffic free courses imaginable. The Sun Valley Half Marathon, 10K and 5K runs and relay runs primarily along the City of Sun Valley and Wood River paved path system. The courses starts and finishes in Sun Valley Village on the spacious grass field in front of the Sun Valley Pavilion.

Day/Start Time
Saturday, June 1, 2013 –  9:00am
The Half Marathon, 10K and 5K runs start and finish are located at the Sun Valley Resort pavilion. The resort is located less than a mile from the Ketchum town center.

Parking
Parking is available across the street (Dollar Rd.) from the pavilion.
A secure bag drop is located at the start/finish area for keeping warm and/or dry clothes for pre and post race.

Timing
Electronic timing will be used for fast, accurate results.

Packet Pickup
Friday, May 31, 2pm-6pm, Wood River YMCA. 101 Saddle Road, corner of Saddle Road and Warmsprings Road or Saturday, June 1, 7am-8:30am at the start / finish (Sun Valley Pavilion lawn).

T-shirts
All entrants will receive a Sun Valley Half Marathon technical T-shirt.
Women’s specific T-shirt sizing and cut are available for our female participants.

Awards
Awards will be given to the first three male and female finishers overall in each race distance. Age group awards will be given to the age group winner of each race distance in five year age brackets starting with a youth group of 19 and under and ascending to the senior group of 65 and over. No double-dipping will be awarded.

Kids’ Zone
An elaborate and festive Kids’ Zone will be open during and after the half marathon for family members of participants to enjoy. The kids races will include several mini-race options staged at 11:30 AM around the Kid’s Zone.
