Getting here is easy! Whether you are flying right into the Sun Valley airport, or our closest major airport in Boise just a short drive a way, the routes are numerous and easy to navigate.

Fly direct to Sun Valley (Friedman Memorial Airport – SUN), 12 miles south of Sun Valley/Ketchum:

  • SkyWest Airlines/Delta Connection: averaging 10 daily flights from Salt Lake City, UT, connecting to cities around the US and the world
  • Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines: daily non-stop flights from Seattle, Boise, and Los Angeles (summer & winter seasonal).

Fly direct into Boise (BOI), 150 miles southwest of Sun Valley where you can take a shuttle or rent a car:

  • United Airlines: daily non-stop flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver
  • Delta Airlines: daily non-stop flights from Minneapolis, Salt Lake City
  • Southwest Airlines: daily non-stop flights from Denver, Las Vegas, Reno, Oakland, Portland, Seattle, Spokane, Salt Lake City

By Ground

Visitors can also take any one of 60 daily flights into Boise, ID, our major airline gateway, 150 miles west of Sun Valley. Daily shuttles from Boise are available on Sun Valley Express (2x day) and will take visitors directly to Sun Valley.

Also the Salt Lake City airport is just 4.5 hours away and is a major gateway of flights from all over the mid-west and east coast.

Getting Around

Once you are in the Sun Valley/Ketchum area, Mountain Rides offers a FREE Around Town bus service that connects the areas in Ketchum and Sun Valley including Warm Springs and River Run lift access to Bald Mountain. Mountain Rides also provides a Down Valley service making several daily trips from Sun Valley/Ketchum to Hailey and Bellevue.
